Thanet Well Lodges are in a very peaceful idyllic location. The quality of the accommodation and fittings is very good. The couple who run the site are very helpful and friendly.

We have just returned from our stay at Thanet Well Lodges in the north of the Lake District. Penrith is 9 miles and Keswick is 12 miles away. Our Lodge (Carrick Fell Superior 3) was absolutly fantastic with stunning views of Bencathra and Bow Fell. The park was very clean and well maintained, there is a small shop on site that sells the basics, and the staff were very friendly and had all the information on attractions around the lakes as well. Thanet Well is perfectly placed for exploring the Lake District, and I recommend the Boot and Shoe in Greystoke for a meal out. For the keen walker, Cat Bells near Keswick is a must, and Penrith is well worth a visit for their speciality shops and town trail. We will definitely be returning for another stay in the future.
